[Amaya Travels] Taiwan Trip Part 17: Taipei Jiufen/Danshui/Alice is Coming (台北)

YAYYYY At my final stop in Taiwan: TAIPEI~ It's likely the place people are most familiar with, and also the most developed city in Taiwan?

Coincidentally, we stayed at the same hostel some of my friends had stayed in just a week back xD Meander hostel is converted from an old hotel, and has 6 floors (with no lift, so heavy lugagges, beware!)

The lobby is huge with several resting areas you could use for relaxing and chatting with your friends!

Wall you could write messages to hang on~

They even have a soccer table and dart board xD
Really cute map of all the sights that we could see along the coloured metro lines!!

Hostel is also in a central location: right next to the shopping district in Ximending!

The metro is a very convenient mode of transport! Super love! #lazy

Jiufen Old Street (九份老街)

Iconic destination to visit! You could also go to Shi Fen if you prefer hot springs and such.

View at the top!

How is there a primary school existing at top of all those steps?!
Danshui (淡水老街)

Staple food in Taiwan lol

We wanted to head over to the Lovers' Bridge but the counter selling the boat rides said that it wasn't worth it to go over when it was raining ):

Visited the Fort San Domingo instead! Previously a Bristish consulate, it is the most famous historical site in Danshui.

Nearby is a super pretty university!

Visited a really pretty Alice in Wonderland themed cafe that evening too!

Alice is Coming
Taipei, Taiwan

The menu is filled with stories and creative names for their food!

 More pictures of the decor~!

Still had two days more to spend in Taipei, so check out the next post to see where we went! :D

(yes it's not over. yet. xD)
