The Sunday Currently, Volume Seven

Source: Tumblr - Kawaii Food is Kawaii

READING... 全职高手. I seriously cannot put this book down. The way of writing is very down-to-earth, like reading someone's well-organized thoughts as they come along. It also reminds me of when I used to play in MMORPGs, albeit for a very short period of time.

LISTENING... DONG DONG DONG DONG QIANG An interesting thing my musical friends noted was that most of the popular Chinese Year Songs are actually played in a minor key, which is unlike the happier-sounding major keys. Cooool (only to me, perhaps).
Song: 身不由己- 何洁
Sharing this song from a romance drama my mother has been watching. Love the last part.

WATCHING... A friend of mine recommended Durarara~!, so I decided to catch it during this long break! 6 episodes in (because it's Chinese New Year), and other than it being a slice-of-life kind of anime with pretty strange characters, it doesn't really interest me...? /(@゚ペ@) Thankfully, I persevered! The second half of the series was more action-packed, and more my cup of tea ^^ OST was nothing amazing.

THINKING... about what more to share on this platform... I am slowly getting back on track with all my commitments, so I want to squeeze out more time to take photographs. Perhaps to start within walking distance of my home?

WISHING... that the holiday will last longer LOL. Alas, all good things come to an end. At the very least, I am renewed to go back to work! Hopefully I last with vigour all the way through the March performance, till my next break in June!

FEELING... rather upbeat! Partly because it is a long weekend, festive cheer, and talking to a few friends I miss very much. Writing postcards, sending voice messages and virtual hugs (づ。◕‿‿◕。)づ

CLICKING... On random food recipe videos from the lovely team behind Feast of Fiction! Some of my favourites include Ponyo Noodles, Pumpkin Pasties and Naruto Ichiraku Ramen!

Hop to KL and back!

How is everyone celebrating the Lunar New Year? Is everyone getting a bit richer? ♪((└|o^▽^o|┐))

Spent a weekend over in Malaysia, catching up with some old friends, and making new ones! Our good friend, Ying Tze recommended us to stay at Hotel Citidel, which is located right next to Midvalley Megamall!

We took a flight from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur to take a look at their new KLIA2 terminal! It is really new, and has a lot of shops, including a hypermarket!

The Megamall has everything from boutiques, drugstores to small stores selling local snacks and tidbits~

First meal being ramen XD From Edo Ramen.

The green tea was served in a huge mug!

So impressed at the queue!

Singapore has a pop-up Magnum store that allows you to customize your own Magnum, but this one here also has a second floor store where you can order dessert!

They do not offer all the desserts on the menu all the time though. I think it changes often, and they only serve about 5 different desserts per day.

Magnum Trifle!
Raistlin got some Galaxy Magnum(?)

Honestly, the desserts look pretty, but taste average. Not worth the premium you pay for the atmosphere to me (around RM25 to RM45 per dessert). They do serve hot food as well though.

You could also queue to make your own magnum for just RM 9.90, which is a much better deal! For 9.90, you get to choose your ice-cream flavour, 3 toppings and the type of chocolate drizzle! We queued for about 40 minutes before we got to make our magnums!

All the possible toppings!
Check out the sea salt flakes~

My own Magnum!
Super huge MUJI in the area too!
Had Thai cuisine~! Tiffin's by Chef Korn was a yummy choice! The set meals range from RM 25 onwards, and includes three appetizers served in a three-tier tiffin carrier!

Generous portion~~ *A*

Orange slices for the last tier!
Even had karaoke!! They gave us a vintage microphone to play with!

Our main aim to being in KL though, was to have a photoshoot! I helped out in the shoot with Ying Tze and Raistlin, and the anime is Nobunaga The Fool, which has a mix of both Western and Eastern historic figures, fighting to achieve peace in their worlds.

The shoot location was surprising! I did not expect to find such a garden amongst government buildings lol. There were many cyclists in the area too.

I started to recognise this location for a number of shoots appearing on my FB feed as well... *cough LL cough** Some BTS shots from their shoot below!

Communication between photographer and cosplayer is very important~

Testing the limits of his flexibility~ XD

I might be coming over to KL more often now that it's a cheap getaway to another city heehee. I want to visit Thailand/Vietnam though!

The Sunday Currently, Volume Six

Busy week. 'Nuff said. I am really not impressed with Fifty Shades of Grey =.= How does it get two sequels?

READING... A Chinese novel, 全职高手! When I first heard the title, I thought it was going to be about sports. But actually, it's about gaming lol. The main character is a player who is extremely well-versed in the game.

WRITING... postcards to some of my friends~! I always enjoyed writing notes to my classmates back in the school days. Celebrating Friendship/Valentine's Day was also a happy yearly affair! Now that I'm working, I feel weird celebrating such a day at work xD Maybe to a few select colleagues? I love receiving snail mail too!

LISTENING... to a variety of songs to prepare for my coming guitar performance! Recently, I have been listening to Mandopop on the local radio, and several love songs were playing xD
Song: I Wish You Happiness (祝你开心) - Stephanie Sun

WISHING... for the Lunar New Year to come at a faster pace! Three day work week starting tomorrow *A*

WEARING... my favourite pick-me-up shirt, Kawaii x 3! Many thanks to Kaila for giving this shirt to me (:

SAVING... up for my holiday trip to Holland in June, and a competition trip to Llangollen in July! I am excited to go~! Juggling my hobbies now with a full-time job can be tough, and it has been particularly trying the past month. However, looking forward helps to keep my hopes up! ♪(┌・。・)┌

WAITING... for the Original Soundtrack of Aldnoah.Zero Season 2 to be released! Composed by my current favourite Hiroyuki Sawano. I really love the opening song &Z. The plot is really building up now with the latest episode ☆*:.。. o(≧▽≦)o .。.:*☆

The Sunday Currently, Volume Five

YingTze as Jeanne Kaguya d'Arc

Costume by YingTze
Armor by Zai-NARU house

Missed out on a Sunday because I was in Kuala Lumpur to find friends over that weekend~! My main aim was to help out at a photoshoot, but we took time to catch up with friends, and have a great time over at Midvalley Megamall! Perhaps there will be a separate post for that~

READING... The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry~ I finally put some books into my Kindle Voyage! Hopefully I will spend more time reading now~ #noexcusenow

EDITING... Photos from about two months back? I took so few photos from AFA SG in December that I completely forgot that I had taken photos (*´艸`*) I want to take up a beginner course on editing once I have enough money and time from my existing courses. So much to learn, so little time (and money)!

THINKING... about how it is going to be pay day in a few days! I think I live for my pay days. XD oh and public holidays too. Hear all that CNY music? XD Planning out a schedule to learn up my songs for the concert coming up in March. It is a very busy February and March, but I am looking forward to surviving it as a more competent person. (ο´ω`ο)ゝ

LISTENING... to the wonderful soundtrack of  Seven Sins (Nanatsu no Taizai)! Done by my current favourite, Hiroyuki Sawano~ The 2nd ending song for is by a new singer, which I quite like! Looking forward to more songs from her~!
Song: Season - Alisa Takigawa

SMELLING... Majolica Majorca's perfume, Majoromantica! I still love the initial fruity smell very much. My favourite place to place perfume is in my hair :P

FEELING... Very complex. I am starting to feel tired out from the workload coming from work (why is every single major event happening in the middle of the year @.@), especially with the financial closing happening next month. I'm not a very social person either, so the multiple social gatherings that have happened recently have taken a toll on me.

LOVING... my new Kindle Voyage! A belated birthday gift to myself since there was stock during my birthday week. It arrived earlier than expected though!

CLICKING... through Beauty Direct, an online store carrying some exclusive Japanese brands for cosmetics, skincare and hair care! I still have a 20% discount voucher for their physical store, so I'm hoping to make full use of it :P Especially love their travel sets! (。♥‿♥。)
