The Sunday Currently, Volume Nine

Today is the last day of the National Mourning for Singapore. Love him or hate him, without him and his capable team of old guards, we wouldn't have the Singapore we know today. I am grateful towards him and his team. Without his leadership, Singapore would not be what she is today. And I, would be a very different person. No matter what, I quite like the person I am now.

READING... several of the articles (see here and here) and interviews that are surfacing up, now that Mr Lee's passed away. It is rather interesting that sometimes, the most striking memories that come to mind are simple gestures and simple thoughts. A friend on mine had a thought which was rather insightful: "Why is it only in death that we seek to humanize the man?"

For the young, let me tell you the sky has turned brighter. There’s a glorious rainbow that beckons those with the spirit of adventure. And there are rich findings at the end of the rainbow. To the young and to the not-so-old, I say, look at that horizon, follow that rainbow, go ride it.”

LISTENING... to my choir's tribute to Mr Lee's Laying In State. There isn't an official recording available, so I leave you with The Long Day Closes from The King's Singers.

Thy book of toil is read; the long day closes.

THINKING... rather introspectively lately. One of the biggest political figures just passed away, and reading all this information, and debate (what is meaningful and not mindless banter), one can't help but think about how a single person's actions can have on a single person's life. For example, I simply happened to survive well in this education system, so I could get away with some matters that perhaps, a student with poorer performance wouldn't. I am happy (and somewhat lucky) that I can converse in more than one language.

HOPING... For the narratives and debate surrounding Mr Lee's achievements, attitudes and choices will be civil and well thought-out.

WEARING... (on a much lighter note) My Rainbowholic shirt from the ever-awesome Rainbowholic! The quality is great, and it's so comfy!

The Sunday Currently, Volume Eight

With work and hobbies requiring more of my attention and full focus now, I really wish that I can find some time to be like her in the picture: just to relax at a cafe and people watch. Wouldn't Neko no Niwa be a great location? (。-_-。 )人( 。-_-。)

READING... 全职高手!I'm the kind of person who has to finish one book before I can move on the next, and according to my Kindle, I still have 90% of this web novel to go LOLOL.

LISTENING... to a variety of pop songs for my guitar class this Wednesday! I have to pick a song to perform, and sing it too! Here are a few songs that I have been considering:
Songs: 星空 - 五月天我的歌声里 - 曲婉婷Perfect - Hedley

SINGING... for my next concert with ONE Chamber Choir! As some of you might know, I sing regularly in an amateur choir, led by Ms Lim Ai Hooi, who was (and still is) my choir conductor for a very long time xD For this concert, we will be singing under Māris Sirmais' prime achievements include establishing the youth choir "Kamēr...", and being the artistic director and chief conductor of the State Choir Latvija. Check out the event page if you haven't! :D

PLAYING... Tokimeki Restaurant! I only started playing this game now because I had no idea how to download a Japan-only game into my phone. Turns out I could download Qooapp, a proxy app to download the game! Can't stop playing it now. XD

WATCHING... Aldnoah.Zero season two! If you love an anime with fighting action and a good amount of mystery/suspense, this is a good anime to catch!

HOPING... For my Kawaii Girl Uniform to arrive at my place asap! I also bought a badge off the store. Apparently shipping day is every Monday, so hopefully my package is shipped on Monday :D

FEELING... rather overwhelmed by the current status of work (ノ#-◇-)ノ ~~~~┻━┻☆(x _ x)ノThough, I have been recovering from a lethargic stint earlier.

CLICKING... through Our Kawaii Tokyo's website! Just launched yesterday, it has general travel information as well as lists of travel spots to make your own かわいい adventure come true!  (♥ω♥ ) ~♪
