[Review] Musing over masks (For Beloved Girl, Innisfree, Dr. Morita)

New masks! I like to change it up often, as masks should be used specifically to your skin type at that time point. Recently, I got myself a set of masks from The Sample Store, so hopefully I will use masks more often and post more often!

From left to right:

♡  For Beloved Girl Skin Renewal Mineral Cloud-Silk Mask ♡

What it is: Sheet mask made with a thin, “cloud-silk” cotton material

What it does: Infused with Calcium Lactate (Ca) to soften dead skin, enhance pore cleansing efficiency, and accelerate skin metabolism.

Price: The online listing on Sephora retails at $4.20 per mask, and the physical store sells it at $16 per box of 3 masks. I had a promotional flyer to get an additional mask free, so it was $4 per mask for me. Still pricey!

Key ingredients: Aqua, Pentylene Glycol, Propanediol, Dipropylene Glycol, Panthenol, Carbomer, Arginine, Xanthan Gum, Calcium Lactate

My thoughts: [Afternote: this mask has a really long name!] I disliked this mask at first because it was so flimsy! It was hard to get it out of the packaging and on my face. It is slated to be as thin as your 'second skin', and while it did achieve that, it was troublesome XD Skin was visibly moisturized after using it though!

♡  Dr. Morita Hyaluronic Acid Essence Mask ♡

What it is: A thin sheet mask soaked with hyaluronic acid and other hydrating agents, including butylene glycol, methylparaben, hydrogenated starch hydrogenate and collagen

Price: You can get them in boxes of 10 over at Watsons for S$19.80, or get your sample mask over at The Sample Store.

Key ingredients: [the first few ingredients are in Mandarin and I shall not translate] Water, Dipropylene Glcol, Sodium PCA, PPPG-28-Buteth-35, Niacinamide, PEG-40, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Polyglycerin-3, Diglycerin, Pentylene Glycol

My thoughts: Well, this mask makes a huge claim to be more hydrating than other masks. I actually think it does pretty average? It does not feel as great as the Beloved Girl one, but does not do that much better than the Innisfree ones, which are slightly cheaper. The fit of this mask around the eye area was not too great. Overall, good for a quick fix!

♡  Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Mask (Kiwi) ♡

What it is: A sheet mask with triple-layer sheets are fully saturated in rich serum that rapidly penetrate skin's surface, smoothing out roughness while addressing dryness right where it begins to form.

What it does: Containing golden kiwi that cleanses and moisturizes.

Key ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Fruit Extract, Kiwi Juice(200mg), Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose Distearate

My thoughts: This mask had a really strong sweet scent, and it was milky and creamy compared to the other masks from the same series. I think it did an average job - would recommend the bamboo or the aloe masks for better hydrating effects.
