Skincare Update [March, 2018]

This month's skincare update will have masks, as well as products I finished using O: I hardly ever finish anything before the expiry date :P Looking back, having posts like these help me to keep track of when skincare / cosmetics need to be thrown away too.

From left to right:

♡  Clelit Milky Flower Mask ♡

What it is: Sheet mask made with a thin, “cloud-silk” cotton material

What it does: Blend of milk and flowers to make skin bright and beautiful.

Price: Redeem your free sample over at The Sample Store! The retail price for 50 pieces is $130, so about S$2.60 per mask.

Key ingredients: Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Caprylic/Capric Tiglyceride, Propanediol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Hydroxyacetophenone, Polysorbate60,
PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil,

My thoughts: The product has a strong scent, likely from the flower blend. The essence is slightly milky, and the thick mask took longer to get into place. Once in place, it doesn't budge much. Skin feels moisturized and smooth. Leaves a slightly sticky feeling, but it is absorbed in the next 10 minutes or so.

♡  Luxury Soo ChengPye-Moisture Mask Pask ♡

What it is: A thin sheet mask soaked selected herbal extracts such as Rosa Centifolia Flower Water for moisturizing effects, Davidiana Root and Biogreen Magnolia extracts for anti-bacterial effect. Comes with an eye cream.

PriceRedeem your free sample over at The Sample Store! Other than some mentions on Qoo10, LS Cosmetics is largely unheard of.

Key ingredients: Water, Butylene Glycol, Propylene Glycol, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Rosa Centifolia Flower Water, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Allantoin, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Yeast Extract

My thoughts: I had a pimple that was hurting on my chin when I was in the shower, but the mask was not stinging. Skin feels soft and moisturized, and looks calmer!

♡  Luxury Soo Suyun-Collagen Mask Pack ♡

What it is: A sheet mask containing hydrolysed collagen to deliver intense moisture to the skin. Also contains special herbal extracts such as ginseng that will keep your skin smooth and glowing. Comes with an eye-cream that you apply before putting on the mask

Price: Redeem your free sample over at The Sample Store!

Key ingredients: Water, Butylene Glycol, Propylene Glycol, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Rosa Centifolia Flower Water, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Allantoin

My thoughts: This mask had a really strong herbal smell to it. Skin feels moisturized and calm after use! Firming effects would need regular use to see a difference. The eye cream was a really generous amount - enough for an entire face.

♡  Luxury Soo Dohwa-E.G.F Mask Pack ♡

What it is: A sheet mask containing peach blossom extract to help with skin elasticity and a blend of herbal extracts to increase skin moisture.

Price: Redeem your free sample over at The Sample Store!

Key ingredients: Water, Butylene Glycol, Propylene Glycol, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Rosa Centifolia Flower Water, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Allantoin, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate

My thoughts: This mask had the nicest smell out of the four masks from this line - very flowery. Skin felt really moisturized and refreshed after application. It could be from this mask or the combined effects of using the different masks regularly though.

♡  Innisfree Canola Honey Lip Balm ♡

My thoughts: Got this lip balm in my trip to innisfree to get the free gift with purchase :P I like that it is moisturizing without any of the minty feeling. It is also good enough to be used overnight. I will definitely re-purchase this if I get the chance; but I would like to try something new this time!

[Review] Musing over masks (For Beloved Girl, Innisfree, Dr. Morita)

New masks! I like to change it up often, as masks should be used specifically to your skin type at that time point. Recently, I got myself a set of masks from The Sample Store, so hopefully I will use masks more often and post more often!

From left to right:

♡  For Beloved Girl Skin Renewal Mineral Cloud-Silk Mask ♡

What it is: Sheet mask made with a thin, “cloud-silk” cotton material

What it does: Infused with Calcium Lactate (Ca) to soften dead skin, enhance pore cleansing efficiency, and accelerate skin metabolism.

Price: The online listing on Sephora retails at $4.20 per mask, and the physical store sells it at $16 per box of 3 masks. I had a promotional flyer to get an additional mask free, so it was $4 per mask for me. Still pricey!

Key ingredients: Aqua, Pentylene Glycol, Propanediol, Dipropylene Glycol, Panthenol, Carbomer, Arginine, Xanthan Gum, Calcium Lactate

My thoughts: [Afternote: this mask has a really long name!] I disliked this mask at first because it was so flimsy! It was hard to get it out of the packaging and on my face. It is slated to be as thin as your 'second skin', and while it did achieve that, it was troublesome XD Skin was visibly moisturized after using it though!

♡  Dr. Morita Hyaluronic Acid Essence Mask ♡

What it is: A thin sheet mask soaked with hyaluronic acid and other hydrating agents, including butylene glycol, methylparaben, hydrogenated starch hydrogenate and collagen

Price: You can get them in boxes of 10 over at Watsons for S$19.80, or get your sample mask over at The Sample Store.

Key ingredients: [the first few ingredients are in Mandarin and I shall not translate] Water, Dipropylene Glcol, Sodium PCA, PPPG-28-Buteth-35, Niacinamide, PEG-40, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Polyglycerin-3, Diglycerin, Pentylene Glycol

My thoughts: Well, this mask makes a huge claim to be more hydrating than other masks. I actually think it does pretty average? It does not feel as great as the Beloved Girl one, but does not do that much better than the Innisfree ones, which are slightly cheaper. The fit of this mask around the eye area was not too great. Overall, good for a quick fix!

♡  Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Mask (Kiwi) ♡

What it is: A sheet mask with triple-layer sheets are fully saturated in rich serum that rapidly penetrate skin's surface, smoothing out roughness while addressing dryness right where it begins to form.

What it does: Containing golden kiwi that cleanses and moisturizes.

Key ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Fruit Extract, Kiwi Juice(200mg), Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose Distearate

My thoughts: This mask had a really strong sweet scent, and it was milky and creamy compared to the other masks from the same series. I think it did an average job - would recommend the bamboo or the aloe masks for better hydrating effects.

[Game] Eiyuu Densetsu VII: Zero no Kiseki

Eiyuu Densetsu VII: Zero no Kiseki, is the direct sequel of Eiyuu Densetsu IV: Sora no Kiseki the 3rd. Taking place in Crossbell City several months after the events in the previous game, the game features improved gameplay and voice acting. There are also elements that were not in Sora no Kiseki games, such as the Police Department, cars, trains and buses.

Zero no Kiseki has special meaning in the way it has been named. 'Zero' represents a new beginning, after the huge success of the Sora no Kiseki games. Thus, a new land is introduced, with all new main characters and a hope that this set of games will surpass its predecessor.

Instead of starting out chronologically, the game throws the characters into some weird place that you will only actually reach at the end of the game, before launching into the opening sequence. [This actually has meaning in the sequel of the game.]

Where on earth...!
Of course, now you have new main characters! Instead of only two, all four main battle players have been decided for you. Though voice acting has expanded beyond the battle screen, most dialogue is just read. ): Especially since Elie is voiced by Aya Endo, the voice actress for Sheryl Nome >.>

From left to right: Llyod, Elie, Tio & Randy

These 4 characters meet in a special department within the police force called the Special Support Section (SSS), which essentially does the work of bracers. Of course, not everyone is happy about it. In this game, you earn Detective Points (DP), very similar to BP. As you rake in DP, your rank in the police force will go up!

As you play through the game you figure out the reasons why they came to be in SSS (other than Lloyd who passed the test to become a police investigator). Their past is elaborated upon throughout the game, though some information will only be fully revealed in the sequel, Ao no Kiseki. In particular, Lloyd and Tio share an interesting relationship, as Lloyd's elder brother, Gai passed away in a rescue mission to save Tio.

Despite the fact that the main goal of SSS and bracers are the same (acting to protect people's interests), the SSS has the possibility of directly intervening in politics and the law (they -are- police after all). Bracers, on the other hand, cannot due to their status as a neutral party.

There will be events that will affect hidden relationship meters in the game, such as acting in pairs, and depending on your partner selection, will unlock special scenes in relation to the partner. Watch them all~!

The battle system hasn't changed much, with new random additions like Team Rush, which allows all members to attack all at once. Additional special skills have been added, increasing the variety of moves you can utilize in battle. The main characters are very varied in their battle capabilities, which makes battling flexible.

Team Rush mode!

Cooking... is kinda complicated now XD You can now collect recipes, fishes, and even monster information. And this time, you get bonuses for completing all of them, not just the book collection!

Being the direct sequel, characters from past games will make an appearance in this one! It appears that enmity between the police force and bracers exist, just like how it exists between bracers and the army back in Liberl Kingdom (though that's probably just one person's fault XD). The enmity arises from the fact that the police force has declined in its trustworthiness and efficiency, leading the city's people to rely on the help of bracers. Not to mention that the bracers are 1000x more powerful than the police people lol.

My two favourites! They are also playable later in the game!
