[Amaya Travels] Tokyo, Japan (Disneyland)

♡  Tokyo Disneyland ♡

Second day in Japan was spent at Disneyland! We happened to be there on the last weekend before Disneyland changed their fireworks program, so the park closed early at 5pm that weekend. That didn't stop us from covering a lot of ground though!

Entrance!

Really reminds me of USS back home?

Similar to Disneysea, there is also a ticketed show that you can only get tickets via the lottery on the day itself. We didn't succeed in this one, so we queued for the free seating. FYI, the first show of the day has no ticketed seats.

Bugz!

The disney theme in the food was a really great touch! Worth every penny :D

A thematic experience walking through the halls of the castle!

Random flowers!
Of course, you must also visit the various souvenir shops in Disneyland (and hope that you do not spend all your money here XD) A lot of people bought the character hats and wore them around the park, but I didn't get any because I couldn't find a use for them outside of the park...

Keychains of shoes from the villians!

Cookies for the 35th anniversary

Frozen is easily one of the popular motifs in the park.
Since the park closed early, we decided to spend some time at Ikspiari, the shopping mall right at Maihara Station for dinner! Spring meant lots of flowers in bloom. It just rained before we came to the mall, so all the seats inside the cage-like structures were wet.

[Amaya Travels] Tokyo, Japan (Disneysea)

♡  Tokyo Disneysea ♡

Photospam posts! I am finally documenting my trip to Japan in April this year. This time, I travelled with my family, so it was a great opportunity to go to theme parks! To make getting around easier, we booked one night at Okura Tokyo Bay so that we could maximize our time.

Hotel from the monorail station!

Right after landing in Tokyo, we headed straight to the hotel to check-in, and to Disneysea!

The train to all things magical!
Some of the handrails alternate to white!

The water canels / rivers running through this place!

Disneysea is divided into a few parts, each with its distinct theme.

Doesn't sell actual stationery lol :P
Pirates theme?
Underwater world!! <3 <3 <3

The underwater world was my favourite theme simply because of the Little Mermaid haha!

You could get a good meal at Sebastian's kitchen!

Pardon the weirdly-coloured photo; I have tried my best to salvage it from the dim lighting inside.

Aladdin!

This Broadway show was really amazing!
In the theme park, there is a show that you can get seats for by balloting using your entrance ticket. You can only ballot for one show timing. But if you did not get a ticket, you can also try your luck by queuing for the free tickets! People start queuing early in advance.

Certain parts of the park are linked by a monorail.

Staying nearby meant we could stay in the park all the way till the night fireworks and closure of the park. Our hotel also had shuttle buses to and from the theme parks!

It was really tough getting up after the long flight and day at Disneysea, so the next morning, we decided to indulge in a hotel breakfast!

Super love traditional Japanese breakfasts!

Skincare Update [April, May, 2018]

Aloha! Wanted to post about my Japan trip in April, and in a blink of an eye, May is ending! Got behind my posts and skincare routine the past two months, and hoping to pick up the pace while managing the ever-quickening pace at work. Go me!

From top to bottom, left to right:

♡  UCANB Mask Pack ♡

What it is: A sheet mask made from rose cotton fiber and contains 10 kinds of vitamins to whiten skin and keep skin clean.

Price: Redeem your free sample over at The Sample Store!

Key ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Dipropylene glycol, Naiacinamide, Betaine, Sodium hyaluronate, Butylene Glycol, Allatoin, Grapefruit peel oil, Orange peel oil

My thoughts: The ampoule was quite thick and difficult to absorb. Mask-wise, I could not tell if the rose fibers helped boost any effects at all haha. But it was a good moisturizing mask that felt light on the skin!

♡  Luxury Soo Bopye-Snail Mask Pack ♡

What it is: A sheet mask containing purified rose water obtained after distilling the petals of cabbage rose to maintain moisture in the skin. Yeast extracts along with many other select extracts help your skin maintain a clear and shiny look.

Price: Redeem your free sample over at The Sample Store!

Key ingredients: Water, Butylene Glycol, Propylene Glycol, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Rosa Centifolia Flower Water, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Allantoin, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate

My thoughts: Moisturizing as advertised on the mask pack. The mask serum feels a bit heavier compared to the last three. This brand definitely works well, but it will be difficult to get as I have not seen it being sold anywhere than The Sample Store.

♡  Lululun Face Mask (Precious Red) ♡

What it is: A luxurious sheet mask designed for intense moisturizing and anti-ageing effects. Sold in a pack of 7 sheets. While it is a mask, it contains toner that allows the mask to be put on daily!

Price: You can get it online from their US store here! They also have the 32-sheets version.

Key ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Propanediol, Peg/Ppg/Polybutyleneglycol-8/5/3 Glycerin, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil, Camellia Japonica Seed Oil, Glycosphingolipids, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Lysolecithin, Sodium Hydroxide

My thoughts: Bought this mask pack from my holiday in Japan because it was the more popular product being promoted. It really does a good job on moisturizing! One mask was enough to re-hydrate my nose area which got really dry after a day out. Now I am interested in trying out their daily sheets sold in Watsons.

♡  Hiddencos Latte Mask ♡

What it is: A sheet mask containing coffee extract, niacinamide and adenosine extracts that whitens skin and reduces wrinkles.

Price: Redeem your free sample over at The Sample Store! You could also get them at OG for S$45 for a box of 10.

Key ingredients: Purified water, Dipropylene Glycol, Glycerin, a phage/lipid-17/6copolymer, Niacinamide, Betaine, 1,2-hexanediol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Canola Oil, Olive Oil

My thoughts: This mask had a really strange chocolate-y smell, which really disturbed me. It was an uncomfortable  and sticky experience having this mask on, and I could not wait to take it off. Skin feels softer, but I would not use this again.
